Calendar of Events

GRMTA MONTHLY PROGRAMS,  STUDENT RECITALS & OTHER EVENTS

GRMTA holds regular monthly meetings on the second Friday morning of every month between September and May.  Unless otherwise indicated, the meetings will be held at the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center in Rockford, Illionois and will begin at 9:30 a.m.   At least twice a year, GRMTA also offers performance opportunities for students of GRMTA members.

October 12:  Program:  Five Fingers Fun from Yamaha (time & location change: 10 a.m. at Randee’s Music, 4116 Morsay Drive in Rockford)

November 9:  Roundtable Discussion: Teaching Time Management; Using Practice Motivators

December 14:  Sharing music with each other and short business meeting

January 11:  A.i.M workshop

February 8:  Music History Lecture (Topic TBA)

March 8:  Roundtable Discussion:  Music Technology

April 12:  Explore the Historic Pianos of Kenneth Drake  (location change to Baileyville, Illinois))

May 10:  Business Meeting:  Election of officers and committee chairs; Program planning for next year.    Luncheon to follow.  Meet at Stockholm Inn, 2420 Charles Street in Rockford.
